Inclusive electron scattering and the genie neutrino event generator

The extraction of neutrino mixing parameters from accelerator-based oscillation experiments relies on proper modeling neutrino-nucleus scattering processes using neutrino-interaction event generators. Experimental tests these generators are difficult due to the broad range energies produced in beams and low statistics current experiments. Here we overcome difficulties by exploiting similarity electron interactions with nuclei test high-precision inclusive data. To this end, revised electron-scattering mode GENIE generator ($e$-GENIE) include electron-nucleus bremsstrahlung radiation effects use, when relevant, exact same physics models model parameters, as standard neutrino-scattering version. We also implemented new for quasielastic (QE) meson exchange currents (MEC) based theory-inspired SuSAv2 approach. Comparing $e$-GENIE predictions data, find an overall adequate description data QE- MEC-dominated lower energy transfer regime, especially models. Higher transfer-interactions, which dominated resonance production, still not well modeled $e$-GENIE.
